If the PDF has no password, the workspace says so instead of pretending to unlock. Wrong passwords get a dedicated error, not a generic 'invalid file.'
Decryption uses the password only in this tab. GetUpTools never receives the file or the key. Use it for a PDF you are allowed to open, not to attack someone else’s lock.
The unlocked download is a normal PDF. Send it to Merge, Page Numbers, or Watermark in the same browser session. Encrypted files cannot be merged until they are unlocked.
