Enter original price, the warranty miles on the tire, and miles already driven. Remaining value is price × (1 − miles/warranty), with used and remaining percents and cost per mile so far. That is a mileage-prorate estimate, not a tread-depth claim and not a manufacturer’s actual adjustment formula.
If the tire is warrantied to 50,000 miles and you have 20,000 on it, 60% of the original price is the remaining “credit” on this linear model. Shops may use remaining tread instead. Use Tread Depth Gauge for rubber left; use this page for a miles-versus-promise sketch.
When miles driven are greater than zero, you also see original price ÷ miles — what you have actually spent per mile so far, independent of the remaining warranty percent. Compare that to Cost Per Mile if you are shopping a replacement set on expected life.
